We use our unique slow-feed lathe-mounted welders that use a special powdered core wire which has a higher tensile strength than conventional welding. All of our Carbon Steel and Chromoly shafts are welded in-house to meet our demanding specs. We manufacture driveshafts in standard Carbon Steel, Chromoly, Carbon fiber, or 6061-T6 Aluminum. With today’s higher HP/Torque motors, higher RPM drive trains, and sophisticated suspensions you need to know what you’re doing to make a quality shaft. Technology has changed and so has The Driveshaft Shop. Just use a truck tube and some good joints and you have a race shaft. We understand cars and the unique challenges involved in making a racing shaft today. National Speedway was the place to go, and those were simpler times. Drag racers stopped by regularly (and they’re still here). Being involved in the racing industry since the early ’70s, we remember the days on Long Island when Motion Performance was a local shop. At The Driveshaft Shop, we grow and learn every day. ![]() ![]() Either you get old with the rest of the pack or you grow and learn on a constant basis. When a company has been around for 30+ years things are in a certain perspective.
